Host families

Staying with a host family was really the best part according to the students. You could seethe differences and also the similarities between the four countries. It was interesting to try new food and to try new activities. For example, a tractor competition!!!

Different but yet so alike

Students at Estetiska skolan in Arvika received visits from schools in Citruénigo, Spain (IESO La Paz), Senones, France (Collège André Malraux) and Rövershagen, Germany (Europaschule) in September. Together the four schools run a Erasmus+ project “Students for understanding” and this time it was Sweden’s turn to host. It is not only the students themselves who have the chance to widen their horizon but also the Swedish host families. During the five days we presented the city of Arvika, its nature and culture ending with a big concert in church where we all sang songs from the four countries. What a success! The last evening the host families invited our guests to a huge Smörgåsbord. Even this goodbye was tearful.

A walk in the nature

Yesterday we had a walk in the nature close to Arvika. Forest, lakes, small rivers, animals and preparing a fire. A great experience for the students and the teachers who hadn't experienced wild nature and "The right to public access".

The reasons why we wanted to join the Erasmus+ project (France)

 - We wanted to come because our friends had talked a lot to us about it.

- We do not always do the same things, it allows us to talk about different topics.

- Our friends told us that you can learn a lot of things in this project.

- It is entertaining but at the same time we get informations and can become more
cultivated.

- Who told you about this project?
- It was the primary school teacher.

- Why did you want to join this project?
- We joined the project because we can travel, we can find pen pals and
communicate with people from other countries.

Erasmus+ Project's logo in Senones (France)

The logo is blue, white and red, like the French Flag. There are two yellow flags, remembering that the French national football team has won his second Worl Cup in 2018.

The blue building represents Senones' church, because our middle school is located in "the country of Abbeys". The white form between blue and red colours represents the river Rabodeau, which runs through the entire valley.
