Summary of Senones, France

Sunday the 18th of January was the day that we arrived at the airport of Bâle to get driven by buss to Senones. We arrived at the school in Senones at about 5pm and waited there to be picked up by our hosting families. After a few minutes everybody had gone to their houses and it was only the teachers left. That night we had lots of family time and we gave our small gifts to the members in the families.

The next day we had to be at the school at 9am till 11.30am for a guide of the school, to watch some movies and present ourselves to everyone. At 12pm to 13.30pm, we ate some lunch in the canteen and sat with some friends from the different countries. After lunch we had a workstation, from 2pm to 5pm, it was art. We had to draw something that’s native to our own country. From 5pm we all went home and ate dinner with our host families.
On Monday 21 we all went to Strasbourg to go shopping and have fun by looking at the monuments, statues and of course the beautiful cathedral!

On Tuesday we went back to the school and went into a classroom and just sat down. The teachers didn’t give some of us anything so we just had to sit there and be quiet. It was quite strange to just sit for one hour staring at the whiteboard! After sitting in the classroom, we went back to do some more artwork till lunch. Then we visited Saint-Dié to check out some cool street art around that city! We were all so tired but when we went back to Senones we were able to walk around a private exhibition. All the families were there and we ate some different cakes and leftover pizza. It was so much fun, we got to mingle and say goodbye to everyone.

Wednesday was the dreaded day that we were to go back to the airport! We were all sad but had some relief of going home to our own families. We are all so glad that we were able to be chosen to go on this educational trip!
